May is a special time for libraries, for ours as well. From May 8 to 15 the XXII National Library Week is underway. The program aims to emphasize the role of reading and libraries in improving the quality of life, education, and increasing the prestige of the library profession and interest in books among the broader public. It has been organized since 2004 by the Association of Polish Librarians, in 2025 under the slogan "Library. I like to be here!" We, as every year, also celebrate at this time and organize a lot of attractions for you! Traditionally, we start a little earlier (a week is probably not enough for us). Already on May 6, 2025 at 17:00 we invite you to the Art Gallery of the Municipal Public Library in Bornem Sulinowo for a unique meeting with Sylwia Kubik - author of bestselling moral and historical novels set in the atmospheric Powiśle and Żuławy region. This is a great opportunity to: - talk to the writer about the background of her work, - get an autograph and a commemorative photo, - immerse yourself in stories that move the heart! The schedule of further activities within the framework of the Week of Libraries is coming soon! Watch us so you don't miss anything.
