After the winter break, it's time to awaken Teddy Bear from his peaceful slumber. Yes, that Bear! The Teddy Bear from "The Teddy Bear!" The first birthday of the Museum of Humor and Absurd in Urad is an opportunity to present several exhibits still unknown to the general public. Among them is Dzik 2. The Dzik micro-tractor was designed in 1957 by engineers Tomasz Pacyński and Stanislav Goriaczko. In 1959, 300 copies of the Dzik 1 tractor were mass-produced and production was halted, in order to start production of a tractor with a simpler and more economical design in 1960 - Dzik 2. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a Dzik 21 version was introduced, which was produced until the 1980s. Another vehicle that is very important for Polish motorization, which is permanently in the museum's exhibit, is the iconic Junak, called the "Polish Harley." It was only produced for 10 years (1956-1965) in communist Poland. The fully proprietary design was developed at the Automotive Industry Design Bureau and was the heaviest motorcycle and the only one with a four-stroke engine produced in communist Poland. In total, about 91,000 vehicles were produced at the Szczecin Motorcycle Factory, including the M07, M07-R, M07-C, M10 and B20 tricycles. Since we are celebrating a birthday, there will also be special guests! On May 1, you will be able to meet Polish comedy legend Piotr Pręgowski at the museum all day. It will be an opportunity to shake his hand or take a souvenir photo at the iconic bowls with cutlery on a chain, modeled on Stanislaw Bareja's "The Teddy Bear". And at 4 pm we invite you to a concert by Piotr Pręgowski - on a special stage in front of the Teddy Bear! Admission to the concert entitles you to a valid museum ticket! Throughout the long weekend, you will be able to take photos with our other special guests - the Polish Mikrus and Mikrus Cabrio cars! From May 1 to 4, the Museum of Humor and Absurd will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission costs PLN 33 (regular), PLN 23 (student, school or group - more than 12 tickets purchased at one time). If you have any questions, needs, want to meet Teddy Bear in person, etc. - please contact me.
