The first church on this site was built in the 1930s. In the 1980s, the temple underwent a major expansion which kept only the gable wall of the original building, now serving as a side entrance.

Parish Church of St. George is in the northern part of Goleniów, at Andersa Street. There is a municipal kindergarten No. 17 nearby and a Lidl discount store.

In the interwar period, Catholics living in Goleniów asked the state authorities for permission to build a church. They obtained consent. The church was erected in 1930.

There are two monuments in front of the temple - one of them is St. John Paul II, and the other - Merciful Jesus. There is also a memorial of the year of the rosary 2002-2003 and a large cross. In the spacious, large interior of the temple, a stained-glass window in the altar wall draws attention. It shows the Holy Trinity surrounded by saints - Wojciech, Stanisław, Otto of Bamberg, Maximilian Maria Kolbe, and Jadwiga. In the main altar there is a painting with the figure of St. George. A tabernacle was placed under the painting. Above the altar there is a wooden cross with a figure of Christ. The stone mensa is decorated with a bas-relief with the scene of the Last Supper and a signature commemorating the Year of the Eucharist 2004-2005. In the side altar there is a painting of Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn. A paschal candle was placed next to the contemporary baptismal font.

Church consecrated on July 27, 1930.
