The beach is located in the Międzyodrze area, a little away from Szczecin city center. There are showers and toilets available, as well as bars and a water equipment rental shop.

The bathing area was created in 1933 and it had 4 ha, while the beach was 300 m long. After the 2nd World War the bathing area was reopened in the 60’s. It has been popular since then among the residents of the districts located on the right side of the river, as well as the nearby districts located on the left side (Pomorzany, Gumieńce). It is estimated that in summer it is visited by approx. 1000 people daily. The water can reach 4 m of depth. Eight employed lifeguards and 2 volunteers take care of the safety of the people using the bathing area. The area is fenced and there are showers, toilets, changing rooms and rubbish bins inside. There is also a medical point within the area. There are three fireplaces to have a barbecue or a bonfire, a beach volleyball court and several restaurants. Near the bathing area there is a rental office run by PTTK. A concreted part of the waterfront is very popular among fishermen.
