Lake Duckwitz bathing area

The lake belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is leased to the anglers' association and has been restored by pumping sediment from the bottom of the lake into a neighboring flushing field. This is intended to further improve the water quality - although the lake has always been bathing water quality anyway.

• There is a bathing area with a playground that invites children and adults to spend the whole day there when the weather is nice.
• The lake is large enough for rowing and paddling, rafts and even dragon boats have been seen during training.
• In recent winters, the lake was often frozen over and you could go ice skating and ice fishing.
• Frost, snow and ice enchant the landscape in such a way that you sometimes forget how beautiful the rest of the year is. Then it is also a place of silence - quieter than summer.

The estate on Lake Duckwitz consists of the manor house, a renovated stable, the old cattle shed, the barn and almost 4 hectares of garden and park. The shores of the lake are densely overgrown with reeds and are a nature reserve. The park has old trees and offers wonderful views all year round. The sunsets over the lake are always enchanting.
